JAY J. VORISEK, P. E.

Role
Jay is a Vice President and Director of CrossRoad Engineers' Transportation Department serving private and public sector clients
with their transportation engineering needs. His responsibilities include
formulating project scopes from the client’s vision, identifying
and managing critical project parameters, and developing roadway and
drainage designs from concept plan to construction documents. He is instrumental
in maintaining communication with clients and other key stakeholders
during
the course of a project. He also provides follow up after projects are
complete in order to get valuable feedback from the client and contractor
on ways to improve our work.
History
Jay is a registered professional engineer in the State of Indiana. He
is a 1988 graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign with
a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
Upon graduation, Jay was employed by the Indiana Department of Transportation
where he spent 4 years in the Road Design Department. Since leaving INDOT
in 1992, he has stayed in the private sector, working with other civil
engineering firms. He has continuously advanced in his career from Design
Engineer to Project Manager to Department Manager.
Since
1996, Jay has been involved with the engineering specialty of modern roundabout
design. He designed the first two multi-lane roundabouts built
in Indiana and he has designed ten single lane roundabouts in central
Indiana, four of which have already been built while the fifth one is
currently under construction. He is recognized as a leader in Indiana
in this specialty and has given presentations at several industry conferences
and seminars.
