JOHN WHITESIDE
CADD Technician


Role
John is a CADD Technician for CrossRoad Engineers. His primary responsibilities include assisting in the coordination and production of ALTA/ACSM Survey, Right-of-Way Services, Survey Drawings, and Route Survey Plats. He uses various software design tools to expedite the production of those plats. He also assists, as needed with our survey crews, utilizing the experience gained from previous employers. This allows our survey crews to better determine the physical features that are important to be gathered. He also conducts research at the various county courthouses for numerous types of projects.

History
John attended Vincennes University where he studied Land Surveying and Architectural design both utilizing AutoCAD. He has experience in all types of surveying projects: Site Design, Boundaries, Topographic, ALTA/ASCM, and Field Staking. After graduation from college, John worked with the Marion County Surveyor's Office for fourteen years prior to joining CrossRoad Engineers in 2005. His experience ranges from surveying, drafting, research and various other duties. The majority of John’s work with CrossRoad has been spent continuing his proficiency with the applications of AutoCAD and Eagle Point software. John is also an Associate Membership in ISPLS.
